AFCEA UK SOUTHERN - AIM FOR
11/12 SEASON
AFCEA UK Southern’s guiding aim for
our 11/12 season is to foster an environment that enables a viable,
stimulating, and sustainable chapter by, in order of priority:
1.
Running a successful Symposium in November
2011
2.
Constructing an appealing programme for
11/12season, relevant to members’ professional and business interests;
include a Corporate event in March 12.
3.
Refreshing the Chapter Committee by
replacing 33% of office bearers, including Chapter President and
Treasurer.
4.
Recognising acute UK Government and Defence
Industry financial pressures, implementing a new initiative to minimise
attendance prices for Military and MoD personnel, whilst also freezing
industry attendance prices.

Have already implemented AFCEA HQ
agreed free membership for students and staff at Defence CIS Schools.

Carefully monitor finances to
ensure Chapter remains solvent.
5.
Building on Chapter Task Force outputs,
continuing to improve (e-) communications with members.
6.
Increasing (real) membership:

Individual by 5% i.e. from c70 to 75

Corporate by 10% i.e. from c4 to 5
7.
Achieving Model Chapter of Year award
following previous success.
8.
Submitting deserving members for AFCEA
individual awards.
9.
Making charitable donations to worthwhile
causes:

AFCEA UK Academic Trust (£10,000)
10.
Continuing the expansion of Chapter’s links with
outside professional bodies including the Defence CIS Centre and the
Maritime Warfare School
