CISO as Parent! – Dr Andrea Simmons – i3GRC
There have been a number of presentations delivered and reviews made available looking at the changing role of the CISO (at RSA, in various online resources etc). To the speaker’s knowledge, none so far have looked at the role of the CISO in terms of that of a parent. This talk will take a humorous look at the correlations as an opportunity to widen discussion regarding the changing CISO role in the context of industry professionalisation. A key parental goal is to create a fully functioning self-sustaining member of society – if only all our interactions with our internal customers followed this path – rather than the permanent tie to the apron strings!
